What you should know

Simple bookkeeping for businesses and the self-employed

Do you understand your accounting requirements? With Seewara, we offer a simple, transparent solution for businesses and the self-employed who want to keep track of their finances.

Who counts as a commercial enterprise?
Commercial enterprises include all companies that do not fall under the category of freelancers according to §18 EStG. This includes, for example, all commercial activities that are not exempt from the accounting obligation by law. Typical commercial enterprises are, for example, trading companies, craft businesses or limited liability companies (e.g. GmbH) that are either voluntarily or legally entered in the commercial register.

Limits for simple bookkeeping
Certain limits apply to commercial enterprises that are not required to keep accounts:

  • Turnover limit: 800,000 euros
  • Profit limit: 80,000 euros
If your business does not exceed these limits, you can use the simplified income statement (EÜR) instead of complex double-entry bookkeeping.

Self-employed persons according to Section 18 EStG
Self-employed persons who work in one of the catalogue professions are also affected by special regulations. The catalogue professions include, among others:

  • Artistic activities
  • Scientific activities
  • Teaching and writing activities
  • Educational activities
These professions are mentioned in the exhaustive list of §18 EStG and are considered to be self-employed regardless of the level of income.

Less bureaucracy, more freedom
Whether you are a tradesperson or self-employed – with our simple accounting solution, you can keep track of everything and save yourself unnecessary bureaucracy. Get in touch with us to customise your bookkeeping to your needs!

What do you actually do as a Pedagogue?

An educator is a professional who is involved in the education and training of people, often in formal educational institutions such as schools, colleges or educational institutions, but also in informal contexts such as workshops or educational projects. The tasks of an educator are diverse and can vary depending on their specialisation and work environment. Here are the main tasks and activities of an educator:

Main tasks of an educator

  1. Teaching and education: Educators design and deliver courses and lessons to impart knowledge and skills to students.
  2. Developing curricula: They develop and implement curricula that meet the educational needs and goals of learners. This includes selecting appropriate teaching methods and materials.
  3. Individual support: Educators identify students‘ individual strengths and weaknesses and support their personal and academic development. They provide support for students with special needs.
  4. Observation and evaluation: They monitor students’ progress and behaviour and conduct regular assessments to measure and adjust learning outcomes.
  5. Guidance and support: Educators provide students and parents with educational, career and personal development guidance. They may also help with social or emotional issues.
  6. Fostering social skills: They support the development of social and emotional skills, such as teamwork, conflict resolution and communication skills.
  7. Collaborating with other professionals: Educators often work with other teachers, psychologists, social workers and educational specialists to ensure comprehensive support for learners.
  8. Educating and imparting values: They not only promote subject knowledge, but also values, ethics and social responsibility to support the holistic development of learners.
  9. Working with parents: Teachers communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their children’s progress and to involve them in the educational process.
  10. Professional development: Teachers keep up to date with new pedagogical approaches, methods and research findings and take part in further training and education to develop their skills.

Conclusion

Teachers play a crucial role in the education and upbringing of people. They are responsible for imparting knowledge, fostering individual talents and creating a positive learning environment.
