What you should know

Simple bookkeeping for businesses and the self-employed

Do you understand your accounting requirements? With Seewara, we offer a simple, transparent solution for businesses and the self-employed who want to keep track of their finances.

Who counts as a commercial enterprise?
Commercial enterprises include all companies that do not fall under the category of freelancers according to §18 EStG. This includes, for example, all commercial activities that are not exempt from the accounting obligation by law. Typical commercial enterprises are, for example, trading companies, craft businesses or limited liability companies (e.g. GmbH) that are either voluntarily or legally entered in the commercial register.

Limits for simple bookkeeping
Certain limits apply to commercial enterprises that are not required to keep accounts:

  • Turnover limit: 800,000 euros
  • Profit limit: 80,000 euros
If your business does not exceed these limits, you can use the simplified income statement (EÜR) instead of complex double-entry bookkeeping.

Self-employed persons according to Section 18 EStG
Self-employed persons who work in one of the catalogue professions are also affected by special regulations. The catalogue professions include, among others:

  • Artistic activities
  • Scientific activities
  • Teaching and writing activities
  • Educational activities
These professions are mentioned in the exhaustive list of §18 EStG and are considered to be self-employed regardless of the level of income.

Less bureaucracy, more freedom
Whether you are a tradesperson or self-employed – with our simple accounting solution, you can keep track of everything and save yourself unnecessary bureaucracy. Get in touch with us to customise your bookkeeping to your needs!

What do you actually do as a Cleaner?

A cleaner is responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of various facilities and premises. Their tasks may vary depending on the location (e.g. offices, schools, hospitals, hotels or private households), but typically include the following activities:

Main tasks of a cleaner

  1. Cleaning rooms: This includes vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors, and cleaning windows, doors, walls and furniture.
  2. Cleaning sanitary facilities: In public institutions and companies, cleaners are often responsible for cleaning toilets and washrooms and disinfecting them with cleaning agents.
  3. Emptying of rubbish: Cleaners empty rubbish bins and ensure that rubbish is disposed of properly.
  4. Refilling of consumables: This includes refilling toilet paper, soap, paper towels and other hygiene items in sanitary facilities or kitchens.
  5. Special cleaning tasks: In certain facilities (e.g. schools or hospitals), it may be necessary to carry out special cleaning procedures to ensure hygiene standards.
  6. Floor care: This includes the care of various floor coverings, such as mopping tiles, polishing wood or cleaning carpets.
  7. Cleaning products and equipment: Cleaners use a range of cleaning products and equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, mops, cleaning agents) and must use and maintain them correctly.
  8. Creating cleaning plans: In larger facilities, it may be necessary to create a cleaning plan that indicates which areas need to be cleaned and when.
  9. Follow safety rules: Cleaners must ensure that they follow safety and hygiene rules when they work to minimise risks.
  10. Report on: In some cases, cleaners must report on their work, such as cleaning that has been done, defects that have been found, or repairs that are needed.

Conclusion

Cleaners play an important role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various facilities. Their work helps to create a healthy and pleasant environment for employees, customers or residents.
